Xbox 360 Version 2: Zephyr

It is rumored that Microsoft is releasing a second version of the 360 codenamed Zephyr. Retailers have supposedly already received the SKU numbers for them. If rumors are true, it should be released on May 1st with a $479 price tag. The Zephyr will come with a 120 GB hard drive, a 65nm processor that runs cooler, an HDMI port so 1080p can be achieved (there are some 1080p 360 games: Lost Planet, NBA Street Homecourt, Virtua Tennis 3), and it will be colored black. I can't wait for this to come out. I'll finally pick up the add-on HD-DVD drive for the 360.

There are no games in NATIVE 1080p for the Xbox 360. They are upscaled. Although, Virtua Tennis 3 is suppose to be native 1080p for the PS3, so it might be for the 360 as well. If so, this will test the 360 even though it is a simple 1080p game. Then again, they should have made some good architectural changes in the board design with this new model.

HD-DVD is dead.....360 has no real must have titles for it...and ur gonna go spend 479 on an xbox360 because xbox knows they rush the first model because they thought it would make them win vs sony..and now realize that all the fools have bought it...and now coming out what would probably be their system if they waited like sony & nintendo? LOL! man i wish i had money 2 waste like u...but whatever...i just hope u have a friend or a PS3 of ur own so u dont miss out on the great games coming to the PS3

this just goes 2 show me i was rite..when PS2 ruining the xbox MS was saying it was because sony PS2 was out earlier..so MS tried to get out earlier then PS3 bc they thought that was the reason..if they launch the new xbox 360...every1 that bought a reg xbox is screwed..& u can thank MS for that hahahaha

The 360 games released are 720p. Same as all 3rd party disc released games. The only game I'm aware of that are 1080p out now are the downloadable games.

no retail games on the XBOX 360 are in 1080p native resolution. The first game should be Virtua Tennis 3 then Blue Dragon...

I don't know about that. Look at the back of the box's for Lost Planet and NBA Street: Homecourt for the 360. They list the native resolutions, and both cases say 1080p on the back.

No........I have seen Ghost Recon:Advanched Warfighter....and it say's 720p/1080i/1080p.

i think microp soft dose this butno matter what they do the ps3 will be better due to cell of graphics prosesor u could always use a larger hard drive by busing like a 40$ extender

some people just refuse to look at both sides of the story.


First off
360 has some of the best Exclusives, such as Gears of War and halo
and no matter what u say, you know that those games are amazingly good
and until sony has a MUST have game such a killzone 2 or metal gear solid come out, 360 still has the edge. it doesnt matter how much better the system is, as long a the games a fun, then that brings in customers, just look at the wii
and by MS doing this, it shows that they are quite smart ( ) i kno its hard to believe, they see there flaws and they see the Ps3 advantages and there tryiing to make it a more evenly fought battle. also keep in mind, since ms is going to do this, it shows, that they see how much Potential the ps3 has

It uses a software upscaler. The games aren't native 1080p but they do support output at that resolution. PS3 developers were talking about going a similar route.

ahhh xbox never has the edge

gears of war - is great no question but i heard correct me if im wrong that game is using 95% of teh xbox power..so if that is the true power of xbox..im pretty disappointed...

halo was great halo 1 - part 2 was boring...and from the looks of things part 3 is gonna do that same..graphics are a joke..for just a hyped up game like that..u would expect more

its been only 5 mnths and look at the visuals of motorstorm and RFOM...

and i dont know about u but motorstorm online is crazy fun! i havent had this much fun in awhile.

the Wii is out selling xbox & PS3 dude to its price and target 2wards children - the xbox 1 has more power then the wii for crying out loud

and its funny how u say xbox has the edge now..well its been out for 2 years and u only name 2 titles..well actually one since halo 3 isnt even out...but if u want to compare titles that are coming ...lets see

Thanks for that Mr. Bogey. Goes to show what I know, err, or don't know... I think they should only put 1080p on the back of the game if it is native. Any game can be upscaled right? I wonder how many other 360 games aren't native 1080p that say 1080p on the back?
