As far as big summer blockbusters go, this one is top shelf. Worth picking up.

Question if anyone can answer, How does Walmart work with pre-orders.. are they like Amazon in which if the price goes down they give you the lowest price? never preordered with Walmart before.

This film isn't quite up there with WAR OF THE WORLDS or MINORITY REPORT, in terms of Cruise science fiction but in this day and age, it's one of the better summer films to come out in a long, long time.

I'll be getting this for sure. Just not sure which format yet.

Enjoyed this movie from the start. My sister gets down on Tom Cruise, but I like him. I have enjoyed his last several movies - MI4, Jack Reacher and Oblivion. Definitely a 3D buy when it comes out. I am hearing a rumored bluray date of 10/21/2014.

I disliked the ending, but not enough to ruin the film. Pretty solid popcorn flick. I'll pick it up when it gets cheap, or if there's a steelbook.

It was definitely better than War of the shits. War of the Worlds was just an effect show case.

War of the Worlds was shit. The only thing I got outta it was a good laugh that 5-7 & 140 pound Cruise could actually beat 6-5 & 220-240 pound Tim Robbins to death lol.

War of the Worlds isn't one of Spielberg or Cruise's best, but it's pretty good despite Dakota Fanning giving one of the most annoying child performances of all time.
