Were you sure to use a Monster 1000 cable? It will give you the best possible picture....
![]() Okay, sorry, only yankin your chain. I have no idea what it could be, but would suspect some setting in your card isn't right? ![]() |

Is the resolution different when you hook up VGA compared to DVI?
If your video card has DVI then you want to hook it up DVI to HDMI to TV. Then hook up a separate sound cable. You could have a resolution that isnt being formated right. My 19" samsung LCD's dont like 1024x768 for some reason and they look like complete crap. It could be changing your resolution depending on the cable.. so make sure to look at the different resolutions. |

After playing around with the resolution a bit, it was set at 1920x1080 just as it was with my VGA cable but i have this weird resolution of 1776x1000 on my slider bar and when i set it to that the text is sharper but it doesnt fill up the entire screen 0_o edit: in my ati control panel, if i set it to 1920x1080 i have this tab for "scaling options" and its either underscan 15% all the way on the left or on the right its Overscan 0%, if i set it all the way to the right the image becomes sharp but then its off the edge of the screen and the image is getting cut off Last edited by BLindsay; 11-26-2008 at 11:27 PM. |

Changed the HDMI cable to input HDMI2/DVI (thats how its labeled on my input list) and edited the source name and gave it the name "PC" and it flashed for a second and corrected itself, its great now, wierd huh? |
