One of my favorite movies that I would love to see in Hi-def! I think it's odd that it's available in Japan but there's no Region 1 release

Hurry up and release it already!

There is no Region 1 in Blu-ray, only Region A,B, or C. The Japanese version would work fine on a US player if you did not want to wait. It will probably be released sometime next year, as Universal is still playing catch up with the HD-DVD releases.
