Default DivX

Would Blu-Ray players would be able to play DivX?
If yes, it would be perfect, You could put about 40 divx movies on DVD Res on one Blu-Ray Disc.. and about 7 HD DivX, right?

Yep it would be great if the acquired technologies of the actual DVD players could be found on the new ones !

I hope you can ADD more codecs using the networking feature of the players to upgrade the players firmware....

Networking is a feature of the more expensive current DVD players and isn't at all a standard feature. But BD players might have it, no?

And if they haven't got that feature, I hope you can upgrade firmware by inserting a disc with the software. You could add some codecs on that disc... I hope thats possible for the next-generation.

Yeah remember what the LD players where able to do in the end : CD, DVD, LD, CD+G, VCD... So much things ! Some of them where also able to do 5.1 by updating the firmware !
