Is Constantine a superhero? - Blu-ray Forum

Never watched the film and know its based off of a DC Comic series... but is he a superhero? Thanks!!

He's a comic book protagonist... not sure about the term "super hero"

His powers mostly involve being awesome and knowing stuff

He is a hero and he does have a few "powers".

He doesn't fly off of buildings and he doesn't wear a costume, but I don't think "superhero" is an entirely wrong word for him.

And actually, while I think he does exist within the DC Universe, his stories are actually published on the Vertigo imprint. It's called Hellblazer.

constantine is much of a hero as batman is.
one fighs bad guys the other one bad souls

those dc guys always have a certain psychological desorder or something, always much profound then marvel.
batman constantine vendeta....

Yes, this was an excellent movie, and it definitely deserves a sequel, IMO.

Just because a movie is good doesn't mean it deserves a sequel. The story has to be there.

For example, Titanic. Great movie, but where would the sequel go plot-wise?

Obviously this character is a lot more open than that, but would it be warranted? Could a sequel even tell a worthwhile story after what happened already? If they tried to tell another story, I'd probably feel that the satisfying ending of the first film would be belittled, even if they're able to tell an amazing story.
