Default Fifa10

Downloaded the Fifa09 PSN exclusive 'Inside FIWC' from the playstation store. A good watch. At the 4m30s mark there is a guy talking and over his right shoulder is the FIFA10 logo over his left shoulder is a flip pad/chart with what I presume to be workings for FIFA10! From what I gather, on the 'to do list' is;

stadium work - would love to see the stadiums for EVERY team from the worlds major league's (England, Spain, Italy etc)

chant capture - I guess they are planning more accurate chants and just, well, hopefully, more chants! Team specific would be nice!

kit DLC - kit download content? this would be pretty cool. Ok, the kits in Fifa are always top notch and are always up to date, but I'm sure they could add to this feature via DLC.

The rest of the flip pad/chart doesnt make much more sense to me!

something they should add on that to do list is to make a better game. big footy fan so i pretty much buy both every year since i could remember and i just can't get over the gameplay of fifa and how bad it is compared to PES. not going to lie, it's the best fifa game to date, filled with excellent features (online, be a pro mode, etc) but in the situation of a simple match between 2 teams, PES's gameplay has the crown.

im not too keen on the kit DLC idea because when have you seen in the history of the game where suddenly teams get a new kit 3 months into the season????? kits are all unveiled before the season starts and the game SHOULD already include the domestic home/away/3rd kits and a european set where the kit fonts/emblems are different. this should be a given not something i would pay extra for. infact i would be very upset if this was DLC. what they should DLC is a bootpack if they want to make money off anything cosmetic in the game. boot manufacturers always release new boots at the midway point if not sooner and the avg player goes through a few pairs in a season. that's a cosmetic change i wouldn't mind.

well boots come under 'kit' so perhaps this is what they are going to do! I agree with you that jerseys are always out before the season starts, so i am not sure what they could do in this respect.

A few other things that I would like to see - real refs! A choice of commentators - not as DLC as proved to be the case for 09. ALL stadiums for the major leagues as I said. a dug out... subs warming up.. (i believe that is already a feature in pro ev?) a 4th official! holding up the board for substitutions and added time.. managers! they would be welcome additions!

personally i like my games to simulate real life in any sports games so they can look as real as possible. some of the changes i want are cosmetic like entire ankles taped (a la c.ronaldo, eto'o), manually set untucked kits, pitch getting warned down and muddy in a rainy game, muddy kits from wet games, more crowd involvement, light snow games, see player's breathe in cold games, etc i can list more lol. i like your changes as well.

btw villa are looking real dangerous this season. don't know about heskey though, kind of over the hill for me but hey he scored.

FIFA10 is probably not going to be worked on til about june '09.
considering the engine is set, the next installment will only be modifications rather than a whoel new game.

i signed up to do some work for EA for FIFA09 and htey were asking for database buffs. i'm sure all they do is fumble the players around to the proper clubs and update their stats.

i do however think FIFA10 or FIFA11 will be significantly better considering it will actual be made to fit on BD50, i think i read somewhere that FIFA09 for PS3 is only about 7GB. i think we'll be getting more stadiums, kits, boots and a more detailed player creation with more options.

btw, Arsenal will get their groove back and will take back a UCL spot, even if it means taking it from Villa
