Default Samsung Just Scan mode

Has anyone noticed odd display issuses when setting your samsungs display ratios to just scan? On HDTV Broadcasts its fine, it shows detail that get cut off by 16:9 mode.
Now any time it's on a standard definition channel, there is often issuses. To the left of the screen the image sort of repeats in that bit of space, about a cm or two wide. The colours are also different.

I've also noticed to the right hand side there is another 2cm long bar, but it looks like they blurred the image to stretch across that part of the screen. I've also seen on some channels white bars about 1cm wide, along the top of the screen.
They sort of are in sets of bars, with gaps inbetween each one, they'l often flicker.

Anyone else had these sort of problems with just scan mode, or is it just me? I don't want to go to the trouble of changing ratio's everytime I change from HD to SD.

It's not your TV, it's the signal being sent to it.
If you're going to watch SD then you'll need to change the settings accordingly.
I only watch HD channels and BD's and never have issues(in just scan).

Thing is, I chop and change quite frequently. I did try setting it to 16:9, but then it even cut off some detail on SD broadcasts. Also noticed other channels will have small black bars either side, where it possibly overscans and shrinks it down?
