The days of me paying $30 for a BD movie are gone. Some of these "people" better wake up!

The Studios and the BDA need to realize that we are in a recession and they need to start dropping the prices of new release BD's. The highest priced single BD should not exceed $21.

Look at what happened with Gas prices. Last summer they skyrocketed to close to $5 a gallon and people stopped driving so much. Likewise, people may stop buying BD's if the prices don't start dropping.

Bro, I fully agree! If you look at Amazon's prices for pre-orders of new day and date releases from the likes of Sony, Paramount, Lionsgate, and Fox they sell for $28-$30 a movie. Same prices as a year and a half ago when the amount of people buying BD movies was miniscule. I can afford to pay those prices, but that is over. I honestly expected the studios to reduce their prices, but obviouly they want to "milk" BD owners all they can. Good luck to them. I defended the pricing policies of the studios for a long time, but not anymore. Maybe they will hire some Internet shills to defend their unreasonable prices.

Yeah, that's not why gas prices went up so high and then dropped so much. It was Wall Street speculators that drove it up and then when they all bailed it bottomed out to where it should have been all along.

But I do agree with your reasoning. Retailers continue to whine about slow sales but I personally have seen very little in the way of price drops in the past 3 months apart from some decent deals online around Christmas.
