linking ps3's together

i would like to know if anyone has liked two ps3's together using just a ethernet crossover cable. if so, could you tell me how and the settings you used or had to change. thanks.

in theory that seems doable, you would have to give the ps3s static ip addresses like 192.168.1.1 and 192.168.1.2.

and you would have to remember to change it back to assigned ips before hooking it back up to your regular network.
