Good buys? - Blu-ray Forum

Hey I have a birthday coming up and am planning on upgrading some of my DVD's. Basically I'm looking at upgrading:

- The Patriot
- 3:10 to Yuma
- The Rock
- The Descent

Are any of these not worth the upgrade in PQ/AQ. Oh ya and I'll be asking for The Prestige as well.

I'm assuming you've seen all of the movies, and like them all to the point that would merit further repeat viewings correct????

If that's the case, then they're all good buys.... and the Prestige looks/sounds great on Blu-ray also...... and I'd venture to say it's the best film of the ones you've listed.

The Rock Sounds great...

The Patriot is a marked improvement in AQ/PQ

and 3:10 to Yuma looks and sounds fantastic....

I haven't seen The Descent, but reviews seem promising.

I like your taste...just picked up the Prestige and 3:10 myself. I would put those two at the top....

The Prestige is a really good film. A bit slow paced for some but still very enjoyable

The Descent looks great in Blu. Only $10 at Walmart.

the prestige is a definite must buy. not only is the movie and acting incredible, but the pq is one of the best! highly recommend.

All those movie look great and sound great on blu but the rock, cause i dont know if its out yet

only ones i've seen both dvd and blu of are 3:10 and Prestige
both are WORTH the upgrade
the blu's of both lookin amazing

The patriot on BD totally destroy the DVD version. no doubt about that. it's worth to upgrade it.

Both The patriot and Yuma are reference quality BD in my opinion.
