Not entirely sure where the best place to post this thread is, so if any mod feels it's better located someplace else, please feel free to move it.

STRIKING DISTANCE (1993):
I received this 'UK-region import' BD from MG&M (the sleeve claims ABC region) and sure enough it plays perfectly -- but, I've no idea where it's from? As in, country of origin is nowhere credited.

Everything appeared legit, right down to the Sony booklets and Blu Ray seal strip across the shrink wrap, but without any classification logos or foreign language text, I can't tell where it comes from (all text is English).

I did a Google search on the barcode and a few South African e-tailers showed up, but I couldn't find any supporting pictorial evidence.

The company offers a whole batch of Sony BDs, presumably of like status, but when I asked them, they didn't seem to know where their product was from!?! They 'suggested' 'Europe' but I know of no European country that distributes BDs with English text and no ratings.

A real mystery, huh?

Anyone here solve it...?

Not sure why you've linked to the UK release?

BTW the UK and German releases use an alternate cover art to the copy I have. My artwork is the same as the US release.

A work colleague bought a whole load of these £3 Sony titles from ebay, he read about the offer on the AV Forums website.

They are definitely South African imports.
