Get It's legit. The only thing it might be missing is a letter from Joss that FOX didn't preduce enough of. Better price than I paid cause it was supposed to be out of print. Enjoy

Anyone else think the show should've ended with season 6?

That is the official release. You probably should be aware that it has been cheaper in the past in various sales. Amazon had it in their goldbox awhile ago for $99.

Each season is in a cd-like case and together they make a picture. Is pretty cool.

There is also a similar box set for Angel. Got both for my wife and she loves them. I am actually a fan now since watching them with her.

I would agree that season seven is the series' weakest outing. Season six was controversial due to the darkness, but I think it was a needed transition, especially after everything that occured in season five. It was good to see Buffy make mistakes, and lose herself along the way, to show she's still a human capable of making mistakes (and not an invincible hero). Season five basically had a lot of events that caused the Scooby gang to "grow up," and season six was sort of adapting and reacting to those events. Season six did kind of go to dark too long, but there are some phenomenal episodes within that season.

Season six was very weak in comparison to the other six seasons, in my opinion. There were some great episodes (i.e. Conversations with Dead People, Storyteller, Chosen), but the majority was pretty sub-par/mediocre. The overall villain wasn't as interesting as it could have been--if the First was capable of morphing into any person who's previously died, why didn't it morph into Buffy more often and try to manipulate those that loved her? Etc. There was so much potential that wasn't explored, and don't even get me started about the potential slayers--there were so many of them, and overtime, they became more in focus, which took away from focusing on the Scoobies. I didn't really care about the potentials. I do think, though, that the show ended on an extraordinarily high note. The series finale was spectacular.

Wow, I ramble when it comes to Buffy! Haha, anyway, yes, that boxed set is legit as everyone else has discussed. I own each of the seven seasons separately so I never splurged to own the collector's set, but I pray that one day this series gets released on blu-ray, even if it is in a 4:3 aspect ratio!

So is there any word on whether this set will ever make it to blu? I've wanted to buy this for a long time now, but if there is any hope of it coming to blu, I think I can hold out for that.
