I was surprised to see that their is no Blu-ray for this movie.

Does anyone know if one is in the works?

One of the best movies of all time!

No, it was Dreamworks/Universal co-production.

Pretty sure Gladiator is a Universal/Dreamworks title.

Those studios exclusively support HD DVD...for now.

I am sure that this will be one of the first titles released on blu when they make the switch. It was big!

Me too, many many moons ago.

Not for the time being, it is a Universal picture.

And yes - but of the last 10 years, not ALL time.

Someday soon we will get this amazing epic on BD, and I cannot wait for that day. I love this movie.

Gladiator is in my top 10 movie list, right up there with Braveheart. I cant understand how other movies including B movies have beat these epic movies to Blu-ray. Come on, these should have been at the top of the list and released in the beginning. We have waited long enough, please please please get these out!!!!

it's probably less expensive to release those other films. i'm pretty sure we'll see Gladiator ( http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0172495/ ) and Braveheart on Blu-ray within the next few years.

I'd definitely buy this if it came out.

Even though the only reason I like the movie is because of Commodus. His insecurities and growing insanity throughout the movie, as well as phoenix's superb acting, is the only thing that kept me watching.
