Default Pioneer BDP-51FD Error

Tried to do a firmware update on this bd player but it gave me an error, but now I can't get the disc out the tray.. everytime I've pressed the eject button it comes up with 'please wait' on the screen. I've tried turning the machine off and on again.. same result. Anyone had this problem before or know how i can fix it?

Try depressing the power button for (5) seconds.

If that doesn't work, unplug/replug the power cord.

Tried that, seems like nothing can get the disc tray to open. Looks like i'm going to call Pioneer and see what they got to say.
