Sopranos on Blu-ray - Blu-ray Forum

I was wondering when Sopranos series 1 ect. will come on blue-ray? It would be great with the entire Sopranos on blue-ray. And secondly, is the sopranos series 6, part 1 region free?

Blu-Ray

To date the only one out is Season 6 Part 1 which I haven't check for region free-but at the small amount of episodes it has is price very high-so it will be harder to sell than other.

I wouldn't look for the full set for quite awhile. They haven't even begun to release current seasons and series i.e. all the ones hitting this fall Grey's Anatomy, Supernatural, Smallville, Office, etc.

They would probably release Season 6 Part 2 before they even began to think about starting from the beginning.

The only ones currently set for the Fall is Nip/Tuck Season 4

Yes both Seasons of Weeds and Rescue Me Season 3 is already out.

Yes, HBO has "begun to think" about season one on BD...it was announced already and subsequently delayed. I assume HBO is waiting for the new BD capabilities which have delayed several titles already.

were the early episodes of sopranos even widescreen?
Just wondering because A&EHD has been showing older episodes of The Sopranos and the real old ones are 4:3/SD and the newer stuff is 16:9/HD.
I would love to own ALL the episodes of the Sopranos. It's the only TV series I wouild probably ever Buy.

I believe The Sopranos has always been shot in widescreen format, IIRC the season 1 dvds have the option of letterbox or Pan and scan.

why is one of my pet peeves have to be about the correct spelling of blu ray....lol....not the color blue (in the spelling anyhow)..plus it looks weird...lol....spelling it blue is like the only reason for someone to buy an HD DVD, sometimes you get confused!

I think they can be transferred better....they probably just purchased the standard version to be aired and went the cheap route...

but we'll see...hopefully..

I wasn't saying Weeds was already out-another person had mentioned it above me so I was saying Yes both Seasons of Weeds as I had forgotten about those & I was saying that Rescue Me Season 3 was already out
