Default Favorite musical?

Which musical is your favorite? Did you ever watched it on theaters?

My fave is The Rocky Horror Picture Show, for sure. I hope someday I can watch it on theaters and/or be in a stage production of it (even though i'm not an actor/singer, but is my dream to be).
I also like:
Hairspray (2007)
The Sound of Music (the title song is my favorite, Julie Andrews sounds so amazing)
High School Musical (don't judge me, I like the songs and absolutely love Zac Efron)
Across The Universe

Which musicals you guys recomend?

I voted for Dancer In the Dark, as it's my fave on the list... But out of them all, maybe Pennies From Heaven (original version)?

Probably Grease (1978) for me. I never had the opportunity to see it in the theatre but it's definitely a beloved home movie.

Not really a musical fan outside of classic Disney but from that list, The Wizard of Oz. Never tire of it.

Les Miserables for me. A perfect adaptation of the West End musical.

What is that older musical where it's almost like one long tracking shot of a couple walking along a river at night and you can see all of the buildings, chimney smoke, houses etc. on the other side of the water? Maybe it isn't even a musical but I thought it was. I saw part of it on PBS.

Edit: It could've been a small part of the movie State Fair from 1945...

The Rocky Horror Picture Show hands down. Followed closely by Phantom of the Paradise and Little Shop of Horrors.

I was never the biggest fan of musicals. I had seen a few but am now discovering a lot. Singin' in the Rain is the most recent i saw and i thought it was really good.

Le Miserables is probably my favorite musical of all time. Followed closely by Mary Poppins and Singin' in the Rain.

Musicals are such a fun and colorful genre and are all the more varied because so many blur the line. Some are obvious and famous - Singin In The Rain, South Pacific. Others might not come to mind but could qualify (Elvis Presley's films for example).

To the ones askin' about Moulin Rouge and Little Shop: I forgot them, I included the ones that were in my mind when I created the thread, that's why I included the ''Other'' option in the poll, so you guys could include the ones I didn't included. =D

Easy for me, Rocky Horror Picture Show. I usually want to hang myself with musicals but I adore Rocky Horror.

This seems like a poll / thread for people who don't really know their stuff when it comes to classic musicals. High School Musical Trilogy? Burlesque? No Arthur Freed productions?
