Gosh, I remember watching this on Saturday mornings right after Bugs Bunny. It might be laughable watching it now. Still was a cool show then. Can't wait for the movie. My son wants to see it bad.

Thumbs down

Watched the first few episodes after looking forward to this marathon for a couple weeks now. I was born in '85 and I know for sure I watched a different version of this in the very early 90's. This original is quite horrible, my god was it just plain terrible. Men in green spandex with a mask and plastic rocks......oooohhh impressive! I wish It had been the better version!

Been a long time since I've seen this but it does bring back a ton of memories. My kids are laughing at the crappy effects though but they're still watching.

I hadn't seen these in forever and boy did they not age well. The effects are sooo cheesy and the acting is terrible.

Yeah I think I will just see the Ferrell movie and call it good. The show was too horrible for me to watch.

Oh come on. That T-Rex was only slightly less believable than the JP one.

Wow, I can't believe I watched this almost all day long! I was slowly cleaning house while watching. I remember a lot of the episodes, but there must have been a bunch that I never saw. The story lines a pretty simplistic and most people could do better effects on their home computers today, but hey this was 1974 and a Saturday morning show for kids!

As for the movie, I kind of want to see it, but making Will and Holly adults and not Rick Marshall's kids seems kind of strange. It is rated PG-13 So I think it will be a little more "adult" for the people who used to watch the show.

I think this is one of those "You had to be there" type shows due to it's presentation. I remember watching this as a child along with the other Kroft All-star shows and I was pretty convinced those dinosaurs were real. By the time I was 10 or older, year I finally came to my senses, but I view this show no different than seeing Yoda in Empire Strikes back and Return of the Jedi.

We are spoiled these days. I remember always wanting to go into the cave and play with those crystals. Such memories!!!!!

I remember watching the show as a kid, but don't recall how bad the effects were. Boy we've come a long way and still further to go.

That T-rex from JP is a pre-render from the special effects "making of" thing on the dvd.

Just FYI.
