Default 50HZ vz 100hz (Quick help appreciated)

I'm on the verge of buying a new TV this morning but i have just started worrying at the fact that it is 50hz. It is the Samsung Series 5 range, really for budget reasons.

With it being 40in is it REALLY worth holding out for a 100HZ model to fall into my price range? Will the improvement be significant?

Do you notice a specific difference between 50 and 100hz on this TV?

Yes. When I wacth TV show with 100Hz on, actors motion is smooth but look like fake.
I reduce 100Hz level high to low, I liked 100Hz low level.
But I'm not using 100Hz anymore.
When I see Blu movie with 100Hz, I can feel flickering.
It's up to you to use 100Hz.
I just turn that off.

So a lot of people actually turn 100hz OFF?

I have deffered buying now until later this week. The guy in the store told me that i could get a master socket power booster thing to increase the hzz. Would anyone recomend this? It looked kinda ugly.

So, for Blu it is best to have below 100hz? Mophious, do you go down to 50hz?

There is no sense in watching e Blu-ray in 100hz, because it's allways 50hz Europe or 60hz America, so for Blu-ray you need a Television that can bring you a good 50/60hz image. The whole 100hz thing is only good for watching something from Television when it's bad cable it can look better with 100hz, HD-TV would be the same as with Blu-ray it works perfect with 50/60hz. But Television manufacturers try to sell the products by telling us more hz and more dynamic contrast which nobody can controll what that means , is way better, bigger and better.
