I hate to tell you this, but these "deals" or "amazon sale prices" suck huge. The only deal I saw was

Transporter 2 for $9.99
The Devil Wears Prada for $14.95

FS, BB and Costco have much better pricing IMHO.

Thanks for the post though.....

John

Hate to say this too, but Amazon.ca is one pathetic website when it comes to prices. I just buy stuff from the US side, have it shipped to a friend there and sends it to me for so cheap, I usually save 25-50% this way.

agreed! however i find the fact that canadian retail stores like wal-mart/ costco/ futureshop, bestbuy, hmv, chcanada and blockbuster having better deals on blus than the American retailers more than makes up for this. (cant have everything)

Amazon.ca has the occasional good deal but there's rarely anything I want.

An order arrived this morning though:

The Proposition $14.95
Seabiscuit $22.95
The Eternal - Sonic Youth CD $11.99

The best deals I have got are Kill Bill 1, Kill Bill 2, and I, Robot for $9.95 each. Nothing jumps out at me at the moment.

CHCanada is good but SiG Electronics and DVDs and Next Gen Gaming sometimes have great deals too if you look at the smaller retailers.

There were quite a few titles available for cheap at amazon.ca earlier this year. Both kill bill, Sin city and few others.

Yeah, they were among the first blu-ray's I ever bought at the turn of the year. They quickly went out of stock so they didn't ship for a month. Excellent movies. The current $13.99 at CHCanada is good for anyone that needs the Kill Bill series.

You can get good (even great) deals on Amazon.ca on occasion. You just have to keep an eye closely on anything you want.

What I do is put anything I want in my shopping cart there, and then check back quite regularly. It'll tell you at the top if the price has gone up or down. If it gets to a good deal price, jump on it quickly!

I got the complete Firefly series on BD for $29.99 there by doing that. That's the best price I've seen anywhere for that, even US sites.

agreed, amazon.ca certainly serves a purpose. i also jumped on that firefly deal, and lets not forget when band of brothers was something like 45 bucks.

i also like using them for hard to find catalogue titles.

Amazon.ca will compete with Future Shop and Best Buy. That's why Firefly was $29.95, because of Future Shop. I ordered it from Amazon for that price.

Ya I price-matched Firefly at Best Buy. They had it listed for $79.99 + tax

LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL

I had I, Robot in my cart at $9.99 with all my info in and I had to go so I told my brother to complete it and he didn't do it......I found out like a month later!
