I paid $800 for the AVR-2808CI at $999 for the AVR-3808CI that is a NO BRAINER! I got a good deal but this is a GREAT! Deal.

If I had seen this a year ago I would be all over it. If anyone is in the market for an AVR with a budget of around 1K this is a steal!

Yeah Denon is phasing out the 3808. They only be the 43XX serie, the 53XX serie and a cheaper 32XX serie. Also Denon has been great with FW Update fixing every single issue (from the DTS POP before it occured) to the DTS HD 7.1 bug with some title) etc...

That's the correct one for the 3808ci. For Denon Models w/o ethernet, you need the ASD-3N (network) or ASD-3W (wireless). I love this thing and I don't even have an iPod. It is great for streaming audio from my computer, the internet; streaming podcasts; and displaying pictures from my computer too. It doesn't do video thought, but with blu-ray, who wants to watch youtube? I can play DVD-R's of the limited home videos that I burn myself in my BDP.
