120hz vs 60hz which is better and why???

Hey guys.

I've been wondering if I should buy a 120hz tv. I have 2 60hz 1080p TV's now. I have never seen a PS3 game on a 120hz TV nor a blu-ray movie. Is there a big difference???

I want to help you OP and don't take offense to this, but this subject has been discussed not only in detail, but quite often as well. I think you would be much better served using the search, and try using "120 hz" or "motionflow" to locate the many threads that discuss the differences and opinions of which is considered better.

please use the search, I assure you what you want to know has been asked often, so you won't need to read 100 threads to get your answer......

I'll make it easy for the OP 120hz is better then 60hz for both video games and movies it can do 24fps and can do the 30 or 60 that has to do with video games it's a higher refresh rate that's all 60hz is not capable of 24fps. It's a newer technology improved in every way and if you don't like the smoothness that motion flow has then you shut it off but the tv still has a higher refresh rate...

I am one of the more laid back people you will meet, but dude, I put it as politely as possible from the get go, and his reply could easily be considered as a "smart" comment, so what did you expect...newb or not? I even remained friendly in my reply after this comment.....Lastly, it was his remark after I asked him to use the search that started any of this, so this didn't even occur because he was new......just sayin' it like it is.

OP, to explain further, there are just some subjects that have so many threads on the subject, it would be quicker (believe it or not) to find an answer using the search, as some questions (and this one can take some time to explain if you need to go into detail) take a lot of information to explain in a reply.

Here's a good rule of thumb - if you feel the need to start you post "I want to help you OP and don't take offense to this, but....." you're probably not being polite as possible from the get go (passive aggressive, maybe, but not polite). Just something to consider.

lol - Newb' or not (obv. the Latter, 8/07'), searching for something only takes 5 minutes or so. I TRY to do that before starting a New thread. Why? Cuz' sooner or later, one or more people will say or write, "Already Posted", & provide the link (or Politely ask the OP to do a quick search to save them some time AND grief, as our friend "Forsberg21" did - a Couple times at that!)

I think with most topics you would be right. With 120hz and all that goes along with it, a 2 or 3 line answer won't cut it. These questions have been answered sufficiently, but they were in other threads and the links/articles contained in them

Forsberg was, in a way, being quite helpful telling the OP to use the search to find his info.
