Why isn't there release of this great animated movie? One of the best Batman movies. I'm not even talking about Special Edition yet I want movie on blu-ray.

The amount of DC cartoons that are coming out now it's only a matter of time before we see it.

WB knows fans demand this on blu-ray so why haven't they done it yet? MOTP Bluray needs to be made.

The DVD transfer is edge enhancement city, so they need to create a new transfer first. If they simply recycle the DVD master for the Blu-ray, the results won't be so hot. Let them take the time to do it right...

They think it's cheaper to produce new digital animation than to remaster this...?

The original transfer is old enough, there's a good chance there isn't even a HD copy of it available anyway. If they want to release it on BD, they'll almost definitely need to get a new transfer.

With the immense popularity of the Batman films in recent years and with TDKR most likely to top TDK's box office takings, this is screaming out for a blu-ray release!
