Default James Bond Volumes Question

Do the movies come individually packaged WITH SLIPCOVERS inside the collections?

Need some clarification.

Yeah, I'm not a fan of the volumes...but I think they are "probably" cheaper to get then the individuals if you pick them up on release day. I bought some cases and printed out covers from one of the cover websites and they sit nicely next to the singles I have purchased more recently.

Yeah, the "Volumes" don't even have individual packaging inside.

It's just a matter of taste...I could go either way on them, but I am doing the volumes route myself. They don't look fantastic when you're opening them....but they look neat on the shelf.

Hm... The Scandinavian boxes have individual Blu-ray cases for each film in the set. I have bought the boxes due to the low price, have thrown away the ugly boxes and have the single movies on my shelves... in correct order of release.

Don't care for the volume set either because you can file them in order. I prefer to have the ability to file them based on release dates.

I got them from www.customaniacs.org (can I put that here? - sorry if I'm not supposed to...I think I might not be supposed to put an actual link). I was pointed to that site through this forum. It's the only site that I've found that has the BD versions - and they're nice. It costs a few $ ($6.80 I think) for 100 points to d/l scans, labels, etc. These are each 2 pts/scan so you can get them and have enough left for lots of other stuff. It's a really great site - they also have custom covers for all the bonds released thus far that make use of the original poster art and all match when put on the shelf. I got these too. Sorry for the long response - I just like to give more details than are necessary.

What happens to the next volume? In May they released only Man with the Golden Gun and License to Kill. So will those 2 be in a volume set or just omitted completely? They totally messed it up by releasing only 2 individually and some places offering it in a box with Quantum of Solace.

Nothing is messed up.

There are 9 unreleased titles left. That's 3 volumes, each with 3 titles.

Excluding the 2 Daniel Craig titles, there were 20 titles in total. Obviously, 3 doesn't divide into 20 evenly, so those 2 titles (MWTGG and LTK) were chosen as separates but luckily were combined with Quantum Of Solace in the Best Buy exclusive 3-pack.

It's simple mathematics.

But that BB exclusive pack is not an official Vol.4. It does not mention Vol. 4 anywhere on the package. I started the volume route and I hope MGM does finish having the all the Bond from Connery to Brosnan in official Volume collections. I wonder if volume sales were not sufficient that MGM is quietly canceling them.

I just got Vol. 3 with another movie collection due to a bestbuy.com promotion.

I remember seeing the picture on their website and they appeared to be individual cases. It was definitely not an official Volume 4.

I saw some at the store on Saturday, so they still have them.
