Watchmen sound issues - Blu-ray Forum

has anyone else has sound drop out on the DTS track, and then when it comes back it is way out of sync.... I think I got a defective copy, cause it does it in the same places everytime.

UH OH...I havent watched my copy yet. Try returning it and get a new copy and see if it still happens.

P.S. where did you buy yours?

i have severe sync issues and the Maximum Movie Mode wont even load, just has gears turning.

First my PS3 dies last week and now my Samsung BD-p1600 wont play my watchment disc correctly.

Or is it faulty media?

Mine worked just fine ! AQ was off the charts IMO !
Dang thing was 3 hours long to !!!

I just purchased the 3 disc director's cut and all the sound is off noticably. Is this just an issue with my tv/blu-ray player or was the disc burned wrong? Please Advise!

Uh oh... I only spot checked mine, beginning, middle, end... maybe played 20 min. of the movie total, but no issues. I'll definitely watch it tomorrow to be sure.

It would be helpful if everyone with issues posted their issue and posted what player they are using as it could be issues with the players needing firmware updates for this disc. Unfortunately this seems to be the norm now with blu-ray.

yeah...that would be really helpful. I am watching it right now. 28 minutes in and i haven't had a problem.

You should list your equipment. Otherwise we are just guessing.

Is it possible that you guys having the problem dont have the correct player to decode the track? What players are you using? I just watched the first 30 minutes and it sounds awesome on my BDP-S350 with 7.1ch receiver....

I still have the song 99 red balloons in my head

Samsung BDP1600
Samsung LNT4651

I tried hooked up to my kenwood amp and with just HDMI audio, same thing happens, sync falls out and I can NOT get the Maximum Movie Mode to play, gears just keep spinng.

I put it into my LG Internal Bluray rom in my pc, plays without problem in Cyberlink DVD

So its all player fault. I just bought it so Ill take it back and take Watchmen back and wait until we get a more stable player

Thats a newer player, Maybe its a problem like Iron Man had, You say the gears keep spinning? Try it in a few days, maybe its a BD-Live connectivity thing

i am having the same problem. sound skipped a couple of times, then like the fourth time you could tell that the video and sound was way off. i just paused it and it fixed itself.

i have the samsung 1600

so both problems so far lie within the 1600. Someone needs to contact Samsung so they can fix the issue

Add the 3600 to the list, scene in the bar in Vietnam my audio glitched and restarted with like a 10 second delay.
