Anyone ever pick this one up and able to give their thoughts? I had preordered Oddity but then I saw it was an RLJE release like this and Suitable Flesh. The latter’s BD looks freaking awful on my setup and I’m really not happy about spending money on lazy releases, even if the price is reasonable. This one’s review does not look promising…

For me (and I can’t often admit this), I feel like the review here was pretty spot-on. What stood out most lamentably to me was what is noted last in the video portion of the review: posterization rears its head too many times in monster shots and low-light ones (of which this movie has an abundance). It’s not an awful Blu—it’s entirely watchable—but it’s decidedly average and definitely has elements that will make you groan in irritation.

It’s been a long time since I’ve seen a 4K upgrade this demonstrably superior to its 1080p counterpart. The German 4K disc from Capelight utterly demolishes the U.S. Blu-ray.

Watched it yesterday wasn't expecting much but I really liked it.

Story was good and the cast was quite strong.

CGI was fine I suppose they could go practical but that would reduce what the director wanted.

The different shooting styles was pretty annoying it took me 10mins to get used to the shakeycam and then they mixed it up a bit and finally the long shot at the end with the titles was just horrible.

The YouTube Shudder experience was quite...dark.
