Default Best Buy Price Matching Policy!!!!!

Best Buy is about to lose one loyal customer. I have shopped at my local BB for years. I have developed a good relationship with all their customer service people and know the managers by name. Today I went into the store and a new manager was working. He told me they would not match Walmart anymore unless they called the local store to verify that they had the items in stock. I got pissed and told him I would start shopping Amazon. He then matched the prices and told me this was the last time they could do it. So, no more HOT DEALS for me at BB. Amazon, here I come.

Same here, although it was a laptop incident. I'll stick to stores with customer service and managers that actually care.

I have two BB's close to my house- one is horrible and one is REALLY nice... just one of those things.

I'm referring to "nice" as the management, employees, and product selection and organization.

It's always been policy that they call the store when price matching.

It's just that many stores don't take the time to do it.

I have never gone to Best Buy once and not had them call the store their matching.

Why don't you just comply with their new policy? Doesn't seem that ridiculous.

So far Best Buy have some of the best price match policy provided you have some proof. There are times when they took the times to call the store to verify the low prices. Although their general prices is outrageous, they do have good customer services. Different stores have different managers hence they manage things differently than other stores.

The store I think is bad is Walmart. They would not price match a store if the item is on sale! WTF! That is the whole point on competitiveness. They lost a sale that day and I went to Best Buy and they price match it.

walmart will only price match a competitors ad, not their website....had an issue w/them when the incredible hulk came out....i told them i'd return it and go literally 2 doors down and have best buy match it, they said fine...so i did.

Yeah, I just print the page and bring it to the cashier, they usually call a manager over to input a code to overide the price, but I have never had a problem.
