Ditching an order

Hey guys, my classmate and I recently dropped by Applebee's to place two to-go orders in between classes. Anyhow, my classmate insisted we leave since the waiter did not give us a time as to when our food will be ready. Anyhow, not knowing what came over me, I got persuaded and we left the restaurant (Note: We had not paid for our meals yet because I guess Applebee's only charges you when the food is ready). Hence, is there any way you can get in trouble for an act such as this (seriously)? Thanks.
