02. Adventureland
01. Star Trek

Runners-up would be Coraline, Watchmen, I Love You Man, and The Hangover.

I don't get the love for Taken...was a big letdown for me after seeing the generally good reviews. Just IMO.

Hmmm, (only including films I have seen in cinemas this year, as the rest may or may not have been released this year but late last year etc) it'd have to be:

1) Angels and Demons: 8/10
2) Revolutionary Road: 7/10
3) Monsters vs Aliens: 6.5/10 (add another point if you see it in tru3d)
4) Underworld: Rise of the Lycans: 6/10

Taken is not here as I saw that in theatres mid last year.

The reason why Taken, Watchmen, and Wolverine aren't on this list is because I had high hopes for them and they were disappointments, especially Wolverine

Two out of five movies are from ones I missed in 2008 but considering I saw them in 2009, I'm counting them. Star Trek blew my expectations away and is easily one of the best Sci-Fi films of the decade
