I would not say so.. there are tons of BDs for $NZ20 or less, which is only $US14...

Plus the whole economy comes into play, what their dollar might buy compared to what our dollar might buy.

I've picked up titles for as little as $12.80 from stores like JB and I've bought plenty of titles from the UK that range from $8-$15 including shipping. Some catalogue title prices are ridiculous, but for most new releases we're not too far off the US, just as good as the UK and as cheap as the 2-disc DVD editions that were being released 2 years ago. The prices lately have actually been pretty competitive - 3-disc Star Trek and Transformers releases for $29. Single disc DVDs of new releases cost that much a few years back.

You can also buy blu's from overseas & they still work out to be cheaper despite the fact you are paying postage, take advantage of it now cause the Aussie dollar is quite high at the moment, it's the best time to buy stuff from overseas

I think getting ripped off blind is like being buggered by them, if you get my meaning? LOL

LMAO yeah if you go to some outlets like HMV like over here or up here, at Bournemouth. The Day the Earth Stood Still is frigging £30.00 pounds for single Bluray with lame bluray extras on the disc. Who do they think they are kidding with that (over the top price)!

I just registered with Play247.com because I’m might pissed off at the silly yesterday laserdisc prices. Yes The Day the Earth Stood Still is the equivalent price of laserdisc 15 years ago, go figure.

I just ordered 2010 The Year We Make Contact on Bluray because I’m feed up at listening to HMV Bournemouth’s bullsh!t excuses the snow! We haven’t had any deliveries. bullsh!t! They have that new title something 'Dorin' or what ever, looks like an emo film?

They just can’t be asked to keep their bluray looking respectful enough with the lowest prices around. Well they can keep it now!

I’m buying online!
