The cult classic "Billy Jack" is coming to Blu Ray on Sept. 29th from Image Entertainment!!! Day one purchase for me!!!

Yes and no,Billy Jack(Tom Laughlin) a Half-Breed Indian that wears a cowboy hat and does karate,get's bit by a rattlesnake over and over,kicks the Mayor(Bert Feed) in the face,kicks Bernard's(David Roya) ass in an ice cream parlor,makes Barnard drive his new Corvette in the lake and so on! Great classic,lets hope Hollywood leaves it alone,ya know,remakes!

I saw this one at the theater when I was a kid. I would have given away my entire Hulk action figure collection for the hat that Billy Jack wore in the movie.
Seems like this was really low budget movie, so how good can the source material be?

Fingers are crossed that it will surpass my expectations!

I wonder if the original Billy Jack movie, "Born Losers", will find it's way to Blu down the road. It's a great flick, as well.

It should look great,the Warner Bros. full frame DVD looked good and the 2005 anamorphic widescreen remaster DVD (as part of the now highly collectable OOP 35th Anniversary set which included the entire Billy Jack film franchise!)from the now defunct Ventura Entertainment was incredible,and included 2 Laughlin family commentary tracks(one from 2000 and the other from 2005),I believe the commentary track will be ported to the new Blu release,not 100% positive but pretty sure!

If the "Billy Jack" standalone Blu does well,then probably!

I just looked at Image Entertainment's website and there IS a Billy Jack DVD Collection coming out with a MSRP of 29.99 that has all 4 Billy Jack films(incuding The Born Losers as well as TTOBJ and BJGTW),but only Billy Jack is being released on Blu,being a true fan of the series I'm sorta dissapointed they arent doing a Blu set as well,but if the standalone does well,maybe a set will be released in the future!
