No, you're not alone. I honestly haven't bought a cd in a long time. A friend at work introduced me to punk/hardcore music years ago. A few of my favorites were Snapcase and Stretch Arm Strong. Minor Threat and Fugazi are right up there too....awesome bands!

I love Malevolent Creation, Cannibal Corpse, Deicide, Vader, Six Feet Under, Morbid Angel and the classics like Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Emperor etc..

All Shall Perish is one of my favorites. I know the lead guitarist so I get to go kick it with them in the tour bus after shows. They're kinda heavy metal/death metal. VERY talented bad though

Big-time punker in the early- to mid-1990s, but my tastes have shifted drastically since then. I relate better now to instrumentally solid, technical music. Not that some death metal or hardcore isn't, but you know what I mean.

Same here, I'll always be a metal head at heart, and rock n roll lives in me, but I can't listen to it all the time. There's so much better music out there
