Okay here it goes . I wanna know if you'll be able to connect your psp-go to your ps3 and transfer your downloads from it when you buy games from the playstation store. I already know some are saying that that's the whole point of the new psp-go is that the user can download music , games movies ect from the unit itself, but in the real world wifi is iffy at best. If your a person who doesn't have a wireless router at home, does that mean they'll have to go to starbucks to pickup a wifi signal and purches games while drinking a 5 dollar latte ? Please help.

Well if you have a PS3, you were always able to hook the PSP, even now to your PS3 and transfer what is allowed, some PSN/PSOne games. But speculation is that with the PSP go having Bluetooth, you won't have to connect with a hardwire.

I'm keen to get one, but it occurred to me that you are then locked out of ever buying second hand games. You have to pay full price or platinum price.
I hope there is a way to properly backup anything you buy too. Preferably onto PS3? I guess if I buy all my PSP games through the PS3 store they will download to my PS3 drive and that will be a back up of sorts. |

Hi,
I just came looking for an official PSP go thread and didn't see one. I have never had a PSP but my neighbor recently loaned me his so I could check it out. The PSP go looks like something I would want but what's with the 16GB memory? If I have USB external drive I guess I could expand the memory with that... ??? =Brian |

From what I understand, you will also be able to expand it with memory sticks or whatever the format is Sony will be using. And, I wouldn't imagine PSP games take up more than maybe a couple-hundred MB anyway on average. |

Also, downloading them to PC (wasn't aware you could do that) and then xfering them to the PSP via USB might be desirable because I could xfer them as a batch. (It would be cool if the PSP had a "download in background" option, but it doesn't.) Last edited by Sylin; 06-12-2009 at 05:17 PM. |

Does he need to register (ie. activate) the PSP device somewhere under system settings before copying game content? It was a long time ago when I setup the PSP's and I don't have access to the PS3 right now to check. Maybe that was needed just for remote play?
