Default Indy 5 happening at...20th Century Fox? (Rumor)

Quote:
Pause.com is reporting that the Indiana Jones franchise isn’t as dead as it seems. Sure Harrison Ford is rapidly turning into dust and sure everybody hated the last movie but, well, it did make a lot of money. So Pause claims to have a mysterious source who tells them that Indiana Jones 5 is actually in the works, not at Paramount Pictures where the last movie was distributed, but over with 20th Century Fox.
Source: Cinemablend via Pause.com

I know this is going to immediately turn into another love or hate Indy 4 thread, but the point of posting this is because of how wild this would actually be if it were confirmed. Paramount has been distributing the Indy movies since they began...what would become of Indy 5's intro shot

I thought Indy 4 was fun, but I would still go watch another Indy. Will it be Shia taking the lead though?

Indy IV was as good as the original. So I'm all for Indy V. Hell, bring on VI as well.

Thumbs up

George Lucas has always been partial to 20th Century Fox so this is not too surprising.

I figured a 5 was coming but very surprised if Paramount doesn't do it since they done all previous 4. Would be weird to not have the classic opening anymore.

Do not know why people hated 4 as it was a good film. No worse than the three previous ones. So I say bring on 5 and 6. And why not another studio, franchises change studio all the time.

This is great news! As long as Lucas isn't involved (which won't happen).

well...part of the speculation behind the move to Fox is that Spielberg is handing the reigns fully over to Lucas, who will helm the next movie.....yikes

That would be cool if they made another Indy type film.
Although Shia will not play Indiana Jones. It doesn't make sense in the serial. We already know he's Indy's son. So they may have a different concept now.

I'd absolutely love to see a 4th one first.

I've heard rumors about Lucas and Spielberg going to be releasing a 4th one, I hope if they do release a 4th one that they get it right and not have anything stupid like aliens from space... *LOL*

Logan
P.S. this is Logan's blocked memory speaking... please don't remind him about the steaming pile of Uwe Boll floater crap that Indy 4 was, it'll release really bad memories.

ROFFFFLLLLLL @ how awful this will turn out without Steven keeping Lucas in check....and vice versa, since apologists want to believe Spielberg makes awful decisions on par with Lucas'.

I love the idea of a 5th Indy movie. I loved the 4th one, was exactly what a Indy movie is all about, fun.

What is funny is all those who hated the 4th one (still can't quite understand how they can claim to love the first 3 and pretend the 4th one is not the same ) will be the first ones in theater so they can be the first one on the forums going how this 5th Indy movie is crap, how Lucas as lost his mind and how he as raped their childhood Poor liitle boys, they need to have a reason to live afterall and hating Lucas is the only thing they got left iit would seem
