Red face AV reciever suggestions

Its coming up on my birthday and i would like to buy a new av reciever currently i have a low end yamaha that i am not to satisfied with so i suppose its time to upgrade
AS OF TODAY MY EQUIPMENT IS AS FOLLOWED:
Sony bravia lcd 46''
Sony PS3
Xbox 360 ELITE
klipsch quintet sl's
klipsch 200w sub 10''
270 blu rays =)

So ive done some calculations and ive came to the conclusion that i should be able to spend between 1,500-1,700 on an av reciever. And this is where i need help whats the best reciever i could get that will mesh well with my current equipment between this price range.Thank you so much in advanced for the guidance

are you also looking to upgrade the quintets and the 10" sub?

...as for receivers, my personal interest would be in the Marantz SR6003.

But also consider the Pioneer Elites sc05 & 07...the price on these have been coming down like fire and would make excellent choices.

agree. I would also look into Denons offerings in that price range.

Do you plan on upgrading those speakers and sub soon as well? Seems pointless to drop that much cash if you are using those speakers.. imo

yeah the denon 4308ci is in that price range and ive heard alot of good stuff about it minus the remote problems, which does not really matter because i already have a harmony 1100

15 and you have 1500 to 1700 for a reciever? Damn, when I was 15 I begged my parents for a Sony Betamax which was in it's first release and it costs like $800 that ended up being my birthday, christmas, 4th of july, arbor day, earth day, easter, presidents day, MLK day and veterns day gift.

I would definetly look into the Elite 05 series. Good luck and happy bday.

Honestly it took me 15 min to install, I used velcro and just stuck the 4 light bars on each edge of the tv. I saw multiple collections on this site and it really does make for a nice viewing experience. Blue seems to be everyone's favorite but red is awesome when watching horror movies.

Forget the 6003, in that price range you can get an 8002.
