'Thank God It's Friday' - Blu-ray Forum

Hey there,

I know absolutely nothing about this movie.
But my father is looking for it, and apparently it's barely released on anything.
So I was wondering, how many people like this movie and who wants it on BD?
Also, of course, will it ever come to BD? As it's not widely available on DVD.
Just a Region 1 I believe and VHS.
On top of that, apparently the VHS is widescreen and the DVD is cropped.
Pretty much the other way around if you ask me, but OK, it's not a good thing anyway.

Any idea?

never heard of "thank GOD its friday"... are you referring to Friday with Ice cube and chris tucker?

A 1978 movie with a very young Jeff Goldblum

It was on TV a lot in the early 80's but it then went away. There was a release on DVD but I am not sure what the status is on it now?

I am not sure what chances it as to be release on BD. I does have The Commodores and Donna Summer. It's very cheesie however

I see it from time to time on a old movie channel I got here.

this film was probably know best for Donna Summer's mega disco hit "Last Dance" (she also appears in film as a disco singer and sings it in the movie) This film is in the same vein as "Xanadu" and Can't Stop The Music".

Yeah, that's the one we noticed.
It says 'Widescreen 1.85:1 Anamorphic' there though.
But according to some reviews it's pan&scanned... so, I don't know...

Besides, we couldn't play a Region 1 DVD here. :\

Maybe check on Ebay? See if you might find a version for your region?
