Seven - 06/30/09 - Day 1 Buy? - Blu-ray Forum

I couldn't find a forum in reference to this..

I saw that the US Release of Seven (Brad Pitt and Morgan Freeman) is 06/30/09. Anyone plan on buying this on day 1 or waiting for a price drop/sale?

I am debating it depending on what the review looks like.

I'm fairly sure that Seven is not coming out that soon in the US.

You might be thinking of the Alliance one.

"Seven" hasn't been announced in the U.S. yet. Amazon has an Import available for sale from Alliance distribution. But the U.S. version will be distributed by New Line (Warner Bros.). Where did you get this info?

Today is June 19th. Since it hasn't been announced, it is more likely that "Seven" will be released on June 30th 2010 than a couple of weeks from now.

Per BestBuy.com they have it listed with a release date of 06/30/09.. Follow this path to see:

Movies>Blu Ray Disc>Coming Soon By Week - June 30, 2009 to July 6, 2009

It is the 9th one listed. The discription says "Format: Blu-ray Disc"

Hmm... I checked it and the studio releasing it is "Unknown". I wouldn't trust it as no official announcement has been made yet and it's only a week away. This is a title that will be well advertised by Warner before getting a release.

There's a Canadian version but it is framed incorrectly at 1.85:1. Wait for an official US release from New Line in the next 8-12 months.

I wish this was coming to US shores

the Alliance version doesnt have the correct aspect ratio and its only 1080i

Don't know when it is getting released, but if Se7en looks as good as Fincher's other titles that have already been released (Zodiac, Benjamin Button), it will be absolutely be a 1st day purchase for me.

I will add S7ven to my collection as soon as it is available. However, the title has not been announced for a US release. Any listing in Best Buy is probably due to an error.
