...so I've heard a slew of rumors though credible people that they're re-releasing this in director cut form come May.. anyone here who knows the right websites able to confirm this???

is this only the dvd version or all formats???

im going to be pissed if they do, because i just bought it today. The transfer isn't the greatest ever. i will probably double dip and sell my copy now. i feel bad though cause it was an early valentine's day present, but she will understand.

I'm actually happy, if true. The current release could definitely be a lot better. I was going to buy this movie no matter what, so I'm not pissed I bought it.

same boat, i dont care about the hit i took in $$ so long as they can produce an even better quality edition with some features to justify the cost once its off sale. 54.99 for the loss!!

i was going to buy it anyways, so iam happy that i have it now, if another version comes out i will be happy, and will sell the old one.

one of the people i heard this from claimed by the end of this month, something about it being short of extra features, perhaps even quality... i heard the dvd is garbage.. so may wouldnt surprise me at all (which i heard from others). ill get more info monday fo sho!

Great movie... I'd gladly double dip for a director's cut (and a new transfer with lossless/uncompressed sound).

Oh boy... my store is going to get ALOT of returns for this movie, we sold out the Blu-Ray stock really quick, all 16 of them in one day.

The reviews are AWFUL as far as PQ and audio go. Obviously Warner really dropped the ball on this one. There's a huge thread going on at High Def Digest about it - people are pissed.

I haven't seen it yet, but I really want to buy it! Maybe I should wait now. I was surprised when I read that it was on a 25GB disc. I think maybe they encoded it for HD DUD and just half-assed it on Blu-ray. What a waste.

Definitely worth double dipping but i'll make sure that I sell off the older version before too many people finds out about the directors cut.

Warner needs to learn that Blu-ray fans reward for quality. If they redo Jesse James with quality in mind (both PQ and Lossless Audio) I would buy it. Same deal with Michael Clayton. I am just tired of paying for HD DVD ported garbage. I would be very happy if this news is true. Anyone ask Bill Hunt or Penton-man?
