Default Backtothecanvas Modern Home Theater Pictures.

Here are a handful of pictures. More detailed pictures of equipment coming tonight. I certainly welcome critiquing and suggestions as well!!! Thanks for viewing my setup!!!

i also put on hold the purchase of the pioneer elite 151. i am anxious to see some reviews on the new panasonic 65 inch v series, as well as pricing. im wanting a new tv badly, this thing has become too small, id also like a new tv stand that sits lower and around 85 inches long as opposed to the 72 of my current.

would anyone suggest a different placement for my subwoofer? i was thinking of moving it to the front left corner. it is currently placed back where the 2 couches "L" together underneath my end table. any suggestions would be great!! i was also told to possibly move my towers further away from the wall. thank you for your time.

I suggest doing the sub crawl. Sub placement is extremely important, and finding the right place to maximize your sub's performance can be difficult. The sub crawl is basically where you would place the sub at your primary seating position, and then crawl around the room listening with your ears where you think you are getting the best bass response at. Once you determine this location, just place the sub in that spot. This can take a lot of work and there are many other factors involved, so that is why I attahced the following sticky from Big Daddy for additional reference material....good luck!

i will definitely give this a shot. i can say the one thing i like about having it next to the "L"ed couches is "feeling" the bass a lot more. but it tends to seem boomy, while i am looking for a tighter chest pounding bass.

If you like to "feel" the bass, how about a Buttkicker or Aura Bass Shaker? I have a Buttkicker, and I promise you will actually feel the bass where you sit!

where did you order this buttkicker from? also do you think i should move my towers away from the wall a little? am i losing sound quality by having them close or just getting additional bass response?

You might want to move them out a bit, but how much bass response are you expecting from your fronts. I really would not be too concerned about that with your front speakers. Now the sub, it has been mentioned that about 2 feet from the back wall is best.

As far as the buttkicker, here is a link, as they are the same price here as anywhere else....which is rather pricey. Some will even say to get a better sub or a second sub instead....it's all up to your preferences......they are fun to have and it is a nice addition to the HT experience for sure!

Sometimes, if you inform a mod of something like this, they can have it deleted....but I find it hard that cembros meant to give you that score....

Yeah, he's usually pretty straight. He probably hit the submit score button on accident.

its not that big of a deal, i just didnt understand why my gallery warranted such a bad rating. maybe he made a mistake on the rating, or maybe he can explain why he doesnt like it. either way it is what it is.

If you put your stuff out there to be judged and rated, you take the good with the bad. Someone always cry's when they get a 5...the stuff is all subjective. I've marked down ratings for things I personally don't like, and crying ensues.

#1 reason I have nothing in my gallery...I don't care what folks think about my setup. That's just me. But when you put it out there soliciting feedback...well, you have nothing to complain about.

I want to add that the rating scheme can be confusing because it graphically shows 1-5 in the gallery but the drop down selection menu show's 1-10. Could be safe to say that if you got a 5 they meant 5/5 instead of 5/10...know what I mean>>>?

ps - i think cembros rating was just a mistake by him/her, i'm sure he will fix it when he/she sees it

must be a mistake - I would give .5 for a clock radio and a view of your neighbor's tv.

Your set-up is a 4.8-5.0 easy.
