The Abyss is waiting on James Cameron's approval on the high-defintion master.

Armageddon's original negative was burned in a fire (I'm not kidding) and Michael Bay wants a new HD master made from a dupe negative.

I had no idea such a thing had happened with the Armageddon original. No wonder it's taking so long.
