Default Replacing driver question.

For that past few months i have been running an ED A5-350, after the initial defect, i fell in love with the sub, 3 months later one day out of the blue i want to watch "Stealth", the sub amp goes to orange and does not kick on, ED sends me a new amp, the new amp kicks on fine, but i discover that one of the voice coils is bad on the sub, ED saids that i blew the woofer which blew the amp, so i have to pay for the woofer. That did not happen, i believe a surge was sent through the amp, either way it was not ed's fault so i purchased the woofer. For the last month i have been running the a5 and it cannot handle near the power the previous woofer could, for three months i never heard a single clip out of the original one, but the new one i cant seem to get it to stop clipping. So im looking to purchase a different 15' driver that can handle more power, any recommendations in the 200.00- 300.00 range?
