I was afraid this was only getting a DVD release since most studios these days stop the Blu rays after season one or two of each show.

I'm gonna take the guess that "Deleted Scenes" will be S2's only bonus feature.

I'm wondering if they'll make an exclusive bonus disc of extras again that is only available with the DVD, as they did with Season 1's Target exclusive.

Is there anyone else that didn't like season 2 as much as season 1? To me it seemed like the quality of the show went down. Like maybe there were budget cuts or something...

I think that's the general consensus. There were very good episodes in Season 2 but the season as a whole didn't work. Still waiting for the payoff.

Didn't share that opinion myself. Thought Season 2 was fantastic. Much darker, more layered, more complex. Really dig the cinematography and the direction in this show, not to mention the use of music. This is exactly the kind of show that rewards with multiple viewings, so the blu-ray for me is a no-brainer. Just picked up Season 1 for $21, and I'm looking forward to binging this when it comes out as well. True that season 1 was a more self-contained story, and more satisfying to some, but I felt season 2 was much larger in scope and the all the new questions it raises made it more interesting. To each their own.

I have to say I know it'll be less than 50 dollars once released but season 1 was not cheap by any means (especially for 10 episodes). I'm really hoping this set is more reasonably priced than season 1

I haven't seen S2 yet, as I was waiting for it to come out on Blu. But that was my fear, it'd fallen into the same trap as so many other series (Needful Things comes to mind immediately). Once the mystery is over, really you're left with nothing more than a glorified soap opera.

Esmail got cocky. Also Grace Gummer is a horrible actress.

Well..they can't all be her mom.

ironically, i do not like any of the female characters, except that chic that was his neighbor that he got killed...i just don't think the writers write them very well...then when you have an average actress working with subpar dialogue its just a recipe for disaster.

While the season was good imo, there were some issues with it. I think revealing that
[Show spoiler]Eliot was in prison the whole time was pretty pointless. It would've been much more interesting if we saw his life behind bars and how that affected everyone else. It also would've been nice if his sentence was actually mentioned in the final couple episodes. After he left prison, however, the season definetly picked up
Other then that, I thought the season was pretty good. The editing, cinematography, production design, etc. remains to be some of the strongest on TV. The FBI subplot and it's payoff were very cool, and the acting continues to be (mostly) superb. I'll definetly pick this season up on blu-ray if it gets to a reasonable price, mostly to go along with the first season

whenever Elliot is not featured, the show comes to a crashing halt. And for those that say you would watch the show even if Elliot wasn't the main character, well...

I loved season 2. I don't buy TV shows until they are complete and I can buy a bundle though.
