Default Cinemas going high def

when do you think we will start seeing higher def projectors being put in the theaters? In kentucky that has not been the case yet...but i go home and watch movies on a 1080p HDTV ..and then go to the movie theatre and find myself disappointed in the quality :P loL! maybe im spoiled on the High def at home..who knows any ideas when theatres are going to upgrade? it would be nice.

You mean Digital High Def projectors

35mm when focused and winded with the emulsion properly, is high def enough
We had 70mm, CINERAMA and VistaVision half a century ago

we have a theatre here in Fort worth with regular movies in some of their theatres, and the same movies in DLP theatres (its a multi theatre venue)... at the ticket booth, the DLP times are clearly marked. DLP projection is becoming more and more widespread, look in your local area close enough, and I would bet you can find a theatre using it.

Call around, I am sure a city the size of Louisville has to have at least one theatre that runs DLP!
