Noomi Rapace boards supernatural drama ‘Lamb,’ sold by New Europe (Exclusive) - Blu-ray Forum

The pic marks Rapace’s return to Scandinavian moviemaking following Hollywood movies like Guy Ritchie’s “Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows,” with Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law, Ridley Scott’s “Prometheus,” with Michael Fassbender, and David Ayer’s “Bright,” alongside Will Smith and Joel Edgerton.

“Lamb” is the story of Icelandic couple, María (Rapace) and Ingvar (Hilmir Snaer Gudnason). who live with their herd of sheep on a beautiful but remote farm. When they discover a mysterious newborn on their farmland, they decide to keep it and raise it as their own. This unexpected prospect of a new family brings them much joy, before ultimately destroying them.

Rapace said: “A script like this is rare and I directly felt that I had to do it. I’ve never done anything like this before and I can’t wait to start filming and go back to my roots in Iceland.”

“Lamb,” which is set for a mid-2019 shoot and is expected to be completed in 2020, is produced by Hrönn Kristinsdóttir and Sara Nassim at Go to Sheep. The co-producers are Piodor Gustafsson and Erik Rydell at Black Spark, and Klaudia Śmieja-Rostworowska at Madants/NEM Corp.

If I worked for one of these advertising companies, I would upload every trailer/teaser in 4K or QHD. Even the 1080p ones. The compression in that trailer is brutal.

Noomi Rapace.... an actor who in my opinion built an amazing amount of goodwill with her breakout role in The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo who has since frittered it away with her terrible choices in projects.

So we've got Pig with Nic Cage and Lamb with Noomi Rapace. There's also a documentary movie for 2021 called Cow and that was shown in Cannes as well.

We're getting all the animals.

I think that’s where the similarities begin and end, and considering Brightburn lifts more off the Superman mythos, I think it’s more coincidental.
