Movie Scene Help - Blu-ray Forum

hello guys and thanks for looking at the stupidest thread ever. Im trying to think of what movie a certain scene is from and i cant think or describe it with much detail but i will try my best. I know this is going to sound like most movies but the scene takes place in a diner during the day. I believe that the main character meets(im not sure if the main character is alone or not) a old friend in that owes him money and has done something very terrible to him in the past(or the guy that is giving him money has done something terrible to others in the past). After collecting the money the main character beats the crap out of him throwing hot coffee all over him and leaving him for dead. I know this is stupid but my girlfriend mentioned something that reminded me of it but i cant remember what movie had this scene. I know its vague but i would love the help.

A wild guess would be A History Of Violence (2005) with Vigo Mortensen.
Hope it is the one.

It's Layer Cake, one of the most brutal scenes in the film and with the music it's great.
