Default Greg Maltz' Reviews Are Being Replaced?

First, I want to make sure it is known that I am proud to be a part of Bluray.com and the great community of members and staff it consists of. That being said, I am curious as to why some of Greg Maltz' reviews have been replaced by different (and noticeably more positive) reviews. So far, I've noticed Shawshank Redemption, The Good The Bad & The Ugly, and LA Confidential.

I understand some of his write ups had spurned a great deal of controversy, and I'll be the first to admit I did not necessarily agree with many of his opinions, but isn't being exposed to someone's else's views--regardless of how right or wrong you think they are--part of what makes reviews so thought provoking and interesting to read? Even though Greg no longer reviews for the site, I wanted to bring this situation to light because I was personally shocked a site like this would make this sort of decision. It's one thing to add a new review, and another to completely replace it. I mean no disrespect to the reviewers that have posted the new reviews, and I thoroughly enjoyed reading their takes of their respective movies as well. I am only curious as to why new ones were needed to begin with.

I would like to add that I don't want this turning into a hate or bashing thread against any of the reviewers, Bluray.com, or its members, as that is not the thread's purpose. IMO, all the reviewers on here--both past and present--have done a great job and aren't recognized enough. Sorry for the long read
