Default Do you ever pre-order Blus?

I was just curious how many people pre-order blu ray movies out there? It seems the pre-order prices are soon after discounted yet again a month or 2 after they come out leaving me feeling like I was gld I waited or upset I didnt wait.

Personally it depends. If bluray.com has the audio information Ill consider it but unless I know what the audio tracks are I more then likely hold off.

Only Columbia House BOGOs...never otherwise. They are always cheaper later and I can easily wait.

I pre-order, but shop around for the lowest price. There are plenty of discs out there that have`nt come down in price even after a year or so on the market. Otherwise, I wait for the sales or shop abroad. I`ve pre-ordered Fall of the Roman Empire & El Cid Blu-rays from Amazon`s German site because, A: I want those movies so bad in HD, B: They`re not available anywhere else. What`s a poor boy to do?

Only when I feel I must have it and don't want to tolerate wading through the public at a store. It's more of an antipathy to driving then the people though.

I used to pre-order all the time because I had to have a release Day 1. Now, if you are willing to wait, better deals are available. I trying to go on a buy buying hiatus for the rest of the summer and then start again in the fall. But I will probably succumb and buy Gladiator and Braveheart Day 1 when they are released.

I only pre-order if the price is too good to pass up and I know it won't get much cheaper. Example, I pre-ordered the Criterion title Repulsion for $17.76 through Barnes & Noble. Now how often do you see Criterion blu-rays that cheap especially for a pre-order?

I only pre-order during special deals. I pre-ordered quite a few movies during a recent Columbia House BOGO, although if it was something I really wanted on release date I wouldn't pre-order from them because they usually take around a week to ship (still waiting for them to ship Mad Men s2, which came out 3 days ago). I also pre-ordered Lord of the Rings, Watchmen, and Freddy vs. Jason during the WBShop sale (before pre-orders were excluded). I pre-ordered season 1 & 2 of Lost during the Amazon sale as well. I'm not going to pre-order a movie though without a deal going on.
