Default Movies that are full screen

Hi everyone, I recently got a Dell XPS 420 with a Blu ray drive, nvidia 8800GT(512mb), 3gb ram. I have it connected through DVI to my Westinghouse LVM-37W1 and I have the resolution on the system set to 1920 x 1080. I watched my first movies yesterday, Dark Water and King Arthur, and was a little disappointed that in both movies the picture did not fill the screen. They both had the black bars on top and bottom. I wanted to know if this is just how these two movies are, or if I have something that's set wrong. I tried with both the latest versions of PowerDVD and arcsoft TotalMedia Theatre. I did a search on here, but didn't find anything. Maybe I didn't search for the correct words. Can anyone please help me with this? Thanks. Gio

Look on the back of the BD case, what AR(Aspect Ratio) is the movie?
If it is *NOT* 1.78:1, you will have black bars at top and bottom...
