Question about Warner BD cases from the UK

I ordered two Blu-rays (The Searchers and Batman Returns) that were from the UK from eBay. When I got them, I noticed they weren't the thick Blu-ray cases most British releases have, they were the smaller ones. Also, the artwork looked like it was printed by an inferior printer, compared to the other Warner Blu-rays I own.
Now, the discs themselves look legit (numbers and all, I don't know if those can be copied) but perhaps the cases and the artwork are fake? Does anyone know if these titles are released in those slimcases?

As far as I know, Warner use the usual thicker cases for all their UK BD releases. I certainly know that their UK release of 'The Shining' came in a thicker case. So your Ebay purchases sound a bit dodgy to me.

Sounds like fake artwork/case.

My UK copies of Batman, Batman Returns, and Falling Down are all thick cases.

I bought 'Hancock' on ebay from a UK seller and it came in a slim case... this is a region free release of course, so i think the seller might simply have bought it from the US and sold it on.

perhaps the same happened to you? 'the searchers' is indeed a region free release.

for 'batman returns', perhaps the 'batman anthology' set contains slim cases, and the seller bought the set to sell on individually? just a thought, could be complete rubbish!

Well, the logos on the cover are the UK ones, so it can't be from another region. I mailed the seller too, see if he knows more about it.

LOL!! They're not fake, Warner originally used thinner cases in the UK. My copy of The Searchers is the same, as are a few others.

Looks like a box set pic in that thread (second page) shows the normal thick cases.
