^^ Wow. That's a lot of "special" and "perfect" players being sold off left and right, isn't it?

I sold my HD - DVD XBOX 360 add on on Monday as soon as I heard the news. The writing is on the wall.

This weekend I am in the process of going through my DVD's to determine which ones to sell and which ones to keep as I now feel comfortable that the format war is over, and I can re-buy many of my titles in BD.

they better start allowing purchases under 199.99 to be able to sell their player...

I do admit...it's awfully tempting to buy one if I were to get Troy and batman Begins with it...

this way I wouldn't be supporting any sales...just a player that someone bought...

thankfully Batman Begins will be a BD title soon enough anyways....and I don't know who puts out Troy..

Looks like Warner is the distributor of Troy
I'm sure we'll see it eventually...

Then when Batman Begins and Troy are released on BD, you can send them to Amir c/o Microsoft with a little note that you won't be needing them anymore. And of course post the video here of you driving your car over the HD DVD player...

I should buy some of those players then trash them so they'll be off the market sooner rather than later.

Supply is significantly above demand. Wait until even more current HD-DVD player owners wise up & decide to dump their HD-DVD players and prices will plunge even more.

this is just the beginning, also look for huge quantities of discs to come on the block. this will definitely have an impact on new player sales.

If I had one I would just trash it. I think the owners were mis-educated about that format, that's why I feel sorry for some!

i just did a basic search of HD DVD players being sold vs Blu-ray and it show up 241 for HD DVD and 79 for Blu-ray.

Its clear which ones are being dumped. RIP HD DVD

I wish somone would buy one - trash it - film it - YOUTUBE it - and say "Sponsored By Blu-ray.com"

EDIT: Check out the search for "blu-ray player" on ebay.

Nah, let the "bigger fool" process work itself out with its attendant downward spiral in prices.
